SELECTION PROCESS of UGCL
UGCL 4 step process
1. Step Registration and Trials
Kickstart your journey by registering online for the UGCL and showcasing your skills at trials conducted across India. Top-rated cricketers and coaches will evaluate your talent, providing a fair selection process.
2. Step Club-Level, Camp, and Matches
Shortlisted players from the trials will participate in the District-level cricket league, paying a nominal fee, where performances will determine selection for the Club Camps .Club-level matches provide an opportunity to compete and excel, paving the way for advancement to higher levels.
3. Step State Camp Selection
Exceptional performers from the Club-level league will be invited to the State Camps, where their skills will be further honed and evaluated. This camp serves as a platform for elite players to showcase their abilities and earn recognition
4. Step National Level League, Prize Money, and Sponsorship
The journey culminates in the prestigious National Cricket League held in Delhi/NCR, drawing fervent competition from 16 teams all trying for the championship title. Remarkably, standout performers are presented with an extraordinary opportunity to secure substantial sponsorship. Each of the top 16 players will be awarded a three-year sponsorship. This sponsorship not only offers significant financial backing but also acts as a gateway to cricket tours and Top National Cricket Tournaments providing invaluable exposure and avenues for continued growth and development within the sport. Additionally, the sponsored players will receive specialized training programs tailored to enhance their skills and performance on the field, ensuring they excel both nationally and internationally.
The UGCL selection process is designed to discover and nurture promising cricket talent, providing young players with a platform to excel in the sport and pursue their cricketing dreams.
